Residents can make submissions to Sutherland Shire Council at any time right up until a DA is determined. To ensure full consideration by the assigned council assessment planner, iObject prescribes an additional two to three-week ‘Informal Deadline’, depending on the scale of the project in question.
If there is insufficient time to produce a detailed submission within Council’s notification period, we recommend seeking a deadline extension directly from the council officer, which iObject can negotiate on your behalf.

The main living room and other habitable rooms would have been deprived of their northern sunlight in mid-winter.

Height breaches along numerous portions of the development would restrict outlook and views from neighbouring properties.
Determination: Council concurred with iObject’s position, endorsing the principal arguments and supporting evidence contained in iObject’s Comprehensive Principal Objection. The resulting amended approval achieved a favourable outcome for our client and the surrounding locality.

iObject’s rigorous planning analysis was echoed by Council, which agreed in principle with our assessment that the proposed development would result in unacceptable impacts on our client’s amenity and the surrounding locality. Council determined that the proposal failed to adequately retain important views, the landscaped character, and the amenity of neighbouring residents. As a result, numerous design amendments were implemented to better respect the established character of the locality.
